Here’s What Happened To Romnick Sarmienta After He Left Showbiz

Romnick Sarmienta is an actor who is best remembered as the 5-year old boy who played the role of Peping in the popular TV series “Gulong Ng Palad.”

Later, Romnick joined “That’s Entertainment,” a youth-oriented variety show where he was paired with actresses Jennifer Sevilla and Sheryl Cruz. The Romnick Sarmenta and Sheryl Cruz love team became a hit in the 1980s.

Romnick appeared in over 60 films and television shows. He won a Best Actor Award at the Asian Television Awards for his portrayal in the GMA telemovie “Bakla” in 1999. However, Romnick Sarmenta left the stardom.

Romnick and Harlene tied the knot in the 1990s and already have five children. Harlene Bautista had a stint in politics and business.

Now, they own a restaurant in Quezon, the “Salu Restaurant.”
